Pfizer Global Account Director API & Intermediates Europe in Zaventem, Belgium


Pfizer CentreOne (PC1) is a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) embedded within Pfizer generating $800M+ in revenue. We leverage strategic Pfizer manufacturing plants as well as science and technology resources to manufacture medicine for biopharmaceutical companies. We focus on custom API synthesis, sterile injectable fill-finish and highly potent oral solid dose; and are a leading supplier of steroid and hormone APIs and intermediates. For almost 50 years, we've manufactured complex compounds for our biopharmaceutical partners. Our dedicated team of contract manufacturing experts guide our partners' drugs safely from development (phase 2 or later) through commercialization. Pfizer CentreOne also has a Corporate Sponsored Agreements team that manages trailing manufacturing supply agreements related to Pfizer M&A, licensing, divestitures; M&A activity could include animal health, infusion therapy, generic pharmaceuticals. Pfizer CentreOne reports into the Hospital Business within Pfizer Innovative Medicines.

Your role

  • Identify new channels and opportunities to grow their portfolio

  • Define Global Account objectives in order to achieve assigned revenue and profitability growth targets set by the API Business Lead / API Pricing Director

  • Interact regularly with contacts in global accounts from the C-suite to the management ranks to identify new business opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key decision makers in assigned global accounts

  • Negotiate multi-product master supply agreements (MSA) with assigned global accounts

  • Proactively lead the global account growth planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.

  • Forecast accuracy will be a key measure of success i.e. maintaining close relationships with global account contacts and adopting rolling forecasts should result in high forecast accuracy and ability to contemplate near term future business (next 18 months).

  • Track and report progress toward plan achievement monthly using Salesforce metrics and dashboards to demonstrate

  • Closely coordinate senior leadership and executive involvement with global account management as required

  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate global account needs through routine business reviews; coordinate the involvement of colleagues, including operations, customer service, and management, in order to clearly understand and meet global account performance objectives and expectations

  • Build an excellent reputation for service with global accounts; develop new and fresh strategies to respond to global account concerns and work closely with colleagues to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings and prompt problem resolution

  • Participate in annual long range planning, annual operating plan and near-term demand/financial forecasting; financial, analytical and modeling skills required

  • On an as needed basis, represent Pfizer on areas of interest outside of PC1

  • Liaise and align with Demand Manager, Order Fulfillment, Technical Services and Regulatory Teamto accomplish business objectives

  • Have a deep understanding of the established PC1/PGS governance, known as the "guardrails" and work within the construct of the process with key stakeholders

  • Utilize PC1 systems to achieve business objectives (iNexus, Salesforce, SAP) and embrace new ways of working with the goal of simplifying our processes.Email will not be used as a "system of record" and use of individual offline files will be kept to a minimum.

  • Familiar with a variety of sales methodologies and negotiating tactics

Your qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related technical discipline. MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with at least 5 years selling business-to-business or negotiating with suppliers

  • A proven track record of strong executive relationship building and direct experience in biopharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing Business-to-Business (B2B)

  • Ability to establish and negotiate complex strategic contracts is required

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated result-orientation, tenacity and follow-through

  • The ability to be successful in a matrixed environment with a high degree of flexibility; collaborate well with Manufacturing, Research & Development, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs functions to accomplish business objectives

  • Must have a proven track record of being effective at self-management and driving results

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer and business partner relationships

  • Increasing Operational/Financial/Commercial experience

  • Strong Financial and business acumen

  • Experience using project management software and customer relationship management software
