Provides direct patient care within scope of practice. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma/GED and graduation from a medical assistant program. Experience: Six months experience in a healthcare setting required; experience as a certified medical assistant preferred Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current license as a Medical Assistant/Certified for Washington State required. Pass the mandatory 8-hour Blood Borne Pathogen training within 1 month of hire. CPR certification within 3 months of employment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual English/Spanish with demonstrated ability to communicate at level 10 on the ALTA language proficiency scale; ability to learn medical terminology, anatomy, disease transmission and prevention in English and Spanish; and must be able to competently communicate verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish About YVFWC We serve more than 149,000 across 24 medical clinics, 12 dental clinics, 8 pharmacies, and 59 program sites in two states.
