Job Description

Join Fortune 7 CVS Health as an application development advisor. The Sharepoint and ASP.net application development advisor for the Corporate Intranet Web portal will develop and maintain the application software critical to the operations of the CVS Health enterprise intranet independently or with minimal direction.

Will be responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions as assigned, ensuring and adhering to all established methodologies, standards and guidelines, including but not limited to: analysis & design documents, program specifications, test plans and results, design, code, testing, debugging, and documentation of those programs while delivering assignments within specified time frames.

This role works collaboratively and must be able to handle multiple priorities with a diverse group of CVS Health colleagues and consultants on projects, business support requests, and security / regulatory, as well as, production support workloads.

Responsible for leading small to mid-size projects and/or individually complete complex work requests with user satisfaction under minimal guidance.

Full-stack solution design and development (database, APIs, services, front-end)

Accountable to formulate / define system scope and objectives to meet project deliverables, ensuring that established timelines and cost estimates are maintained.

Assess and evaluate different design approaches at hand that are relevant to the business problem and provide recommendations.

Develop proof of concepts when necessary to prove out key implementation challenges of new and existing web applications.

Establish proper Web application performance and efficiency guidelines and procedures and drive the development team to adopt and adhere to the same guidelines.

Evaluate emerging web technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes.

Test and debug issues and improve performance of existing web applications.

Potential for managing small team of development resources

Be able to work with minimal guidance.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of proven success as a web developer experience required

5+ years object-oriented design skills and software architecture skills.

Proficient in C#/ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET 4.0 and later, ASP.NET Core, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, XML, PowerShell, SQL Server, IIS

Develop REST/JSON Web Services and back-office applications using the newest Microsoft stack of technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, C# and SQL Server as well as Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, and Node.

Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis

2+ years leading development team

Knowledge of Node.js

Preferred Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Test Driven Development

OOP/Coding design pattern experience

Microsoft SQL Server

Performance tuning a plus

Azure experience

HTML5/CSS pre-processors

Experience with continuous build/deployment tools

Thorough knowledge of various SDLC methodologies including Iterative and AGILE methodologies

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience) required. An Advanced degree or technical certifications is a plus.
