CVS Health Pharmacy Operations - Senior Consultant in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Operations Senior Consultant, you are part of the Workforce Management group and are a vital contributor to the operations of the enterprise workforce management team. You are responsible for the Workforce Management System that enables our supported locations to schedule their workforce to meet operational and customer service needs. You will play a key role in supporting and refining the system in steady state, as well as helping users leverage the system to the fullest. As part of this role, the Pharmacy Operations Senior Consultant will partner cross-functionally with the labor budgeting and planning, labor engineering, training, and CVS Field teams.

Additional Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Operations - Senior Consultant:

  • Problem resolution, technical, and project management skills

  • Day-to-Day System Ownership:

  • Perform key day-to-day system-related tasks, such as new location setup, user access maintenance, etc.

  • Assist and help with facilitating the resolution of field and store Workforce Management System scheduling inquiries.

  • Be technical expert for Workforce Management System scheduling tool.

  • System Release Roadmap and Implementation

  • Identify and prioritize system bugs or potential enhancements and partner with vendor to create a roadmap for implementation

  • Thoroughly test all enhancements and bug fixes in testing environment prior to chain release.

  • Update all documentation to reflect system enhancements, including user-facing training and other resources

  • Prepare and communicate system enhancements to field and store users.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in retail operations or a related industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with IT systems (scheduling systems, vendor management)

  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Operations

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle or working closely with an IT function

  • Experience working closely with an external vendor

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
