CVS Health FP&A PBM Senior Advisor in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Job Description

The Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Advisor serves as an internal and external consultant on the application of finance & accounting principles and practices. In this role you will, build annual budgets, monthly, quarterly re-forecasts, staffing plans, and cost saving initiative models and identify opportunities for the organization to meet both short/long term goals and objectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Implement processes to track successful achievement of savings initiatives.

  • Build advanced financial models and lead issues to resolution, assert key facts and influence decisions based on objective information.

-Investigate and recommend procedural and operational improvements that reduce cost and improve operational efficiency's.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, key stakeholders, and co-workers.

-Create and implement reporting metrics to track successes and opportunities. Makes recommendations when needed.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to self-start, organize, and prioritize workload and meet strict weekly and monthly deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Creatively solve problems when dealing with a variety of variables in situations where standard solutions do not exist is also a crucial skill set to possess to be successful in this role. Advanced Excel skills will be needed to navigate the daily reporting and budget work.

Required Qualifications

-Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in Finance and/or Budgeting.

-Experience with financial data analysis and/or data-mining and/or journal entries and/or monthly close, accruals, and/or reserves, and/or reconciliations of complex financial processes.

-Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

-Demonstrated experience interfacing with various levels of leadership (Mgr, Dir, VP, SVP)

-Must possess an intelligent, inquisitive nature, and proven ability to break down complex processes into simpler tasks -and execute accordingly.

-Possess strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational, navigational, and time management skills.

-CPA Certification

-Prior experience/knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, Analytics for Office, BusinessObjects.

-Experience interfacing and presenting financial data to cross-functional business teams.

Education

Bachelors Degree required.

Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.
