CVS Health Executive Communications and Speechwriting Director in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Job Description

CVS Health, a Fortune 7 company, is seeking an Executive Communications and Speechwriting Director to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key driver of external stakeholder perception and internal employee engagement. You will support the company's executive visibility strategy through the delivery of high-impact executive speeches, talking points, discussion guides and presentation materials for external and internal audiences. In addition, you will oversee the creation and maintenance of the corporate library of speaker content modules.

In this role, you will chair the cross-functional team that reviews speaking opportunities for members of our executive team and help to proactively identify venues for CVS Health to deliver its message. You will ensure that key elements of the company's executive communications strategy are delivered on-time and on-message through the management and strategic application of internal resources and as needed external agencies and free-lance partners. This position requires the ability to travel and work flexible hours as necessary. You will report to the Vice President of Corporate Communications.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

-Ability to weave stories, facts and data together to drive home key messages in a memorable, humanistic way.

-Excellent oral and written communications, including editing and proofreading skills.

-Deliver quality content under tight deadlines.

-Maintain discretion and managing confidential information.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Word.

-Executive presence, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to impact and influence critical decisions.

-Relentless attention to detail for flawless execution.

-Organization, multi-tasking and follow-up skills.

Required Qualifications

-A minimum of ten years of experience in executive speechwriting and presentation preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

-Health care industry experience preferred, with knowledge of health care policy a plus.

Education

-Bachelor's degree required.
