Woodland Healthcare is a premier, fully integrated healthcare delivery system, including an acute care hospital (108 licensed beds), a multi-specialty physician practice (100 providers) and an outpatient Surgery Center that serves Yolo County with a service area population of 180,000. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Registered Nurse is defined as a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach the Registered Nurse provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing team leadership and maintaining professional development.

Qualifications

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• Current BLS certification at hire.

• Must obtain and maintain ACLS within 3 months of hire.

• Must obtain and maintain PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire.

• Must obtain NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire.

• Previous emergency services experience or critical care experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

Has the ability to read, speak and write English in order to perform the duties of the position.

Ability to: Work as a team member to meet team goals and objectives.

Work effectively under multiple demands and adjust priorities, as circumstances require meeting nursing/staffing needs of the department.

Maintain a high degree of accuracy and precision on a consistent basis in the performance of nursing procedures.

Treat co-workers, physicians, patients, families, visitors, and the public with dignity and respect.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all hospital staff. Maintain patient confidentiality.

Work a flexible schedule and be willing to work additional hours if needed for the provision of quality patient care.

PHYSICAL FACTORS:

Demonstrates ability to position, move and transfer patients utilizing patient mobilization equipment and/or appropriate resources.
