Latitude, Inc. Maintenance Supervisor in Windsor, Connecticut

Description:Perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. Ensures that facilities are being maintained in an orderly fashion. Ensures necessary materials are ?on-hand? for routine services for the Maintenance team. Apply basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Perform Maintenance to the building properties including, but not limited to restrooms, lighting, floors, building equipment, waste removal, and windows. Conduct weekly inspections of equipment and facility, detecting maintenance needs and unsafe conditions to ensure reduction of equipment downtime and employee safety.Principle duties:

  • o Performs maintenance to bathrooms daily.

  • o Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.

  • o Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.

  • o Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)

  • o Removes waste materials from building.

  • o Performs equipment maintenance as required.

  • o Maintains a log of inventory supplies.

  • o Performs preventative measures during inclement weather.

  • o Use appropriate protective attire as required.

  • o Operate buffer machine.

  • o Pick-up or deliver supplies as necessary.

  • o Cleans windows and appropriate glass surfaces.

  • o Comply with OSHA regulations.

  • o Collaborate with co-workers and other professionals during renovations.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Valid CT Driver?s License Required.


  • High School diploma and a minimum of 2 year maintenance experience preferred. Trade Certification a plus.


  • o Well rounded knowledge of construction trades including: Electrical, plumbing, structural,

  • pneumatics, compressors, HVAC operation.

  • o Custodial: use cleaning supplies safely and effectively, maintain simple machine

  • equipment, maintain maintenance schedules.

  • o Ability to carry out light maintenance and repairs for building equipment or plumbing.

Human Relations:

  • o Must have good common sense.

  • o Must have manual dexterity.

  • o Must be able to develop a good rapport with other departmental members.

Problem Solving:

  • o Requires the use of good judgment at all times.

  • o Requires the ability to identify potential problems for timely resolution.


  • Errors are to be kept to a minimum, as they could contribute to unsafe conditions. Preventive

  • maintenance provides for continual process and product quality. Think of your operations as

  • critical.


  • Your authority is extended to you by the Management team and Owners as necessary.

Mental & Visual Effort:

  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required.

Physical Effort:

  • All movement required to carry out the duties outlined above effectively. Some heavy lifting may

  • be required. Able to lift 30-50lbs+.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard, day shift from M-F 7am-3:30pm. Additional/OT hours as required.
