National Lutheran Communities and Services Occupational Therapist in Winchester, Virginia
We have PRN positions available and are serving our clients in the following counties in Virginia: Winchester, Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren, Page, Augusta and Rockingham.
Reporting to the Clinical Services Director, the Occupational Therapist (OT) administers occupational therapy to clients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Services Director.
Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the client Works to return the individual to optimum and productive living within the client’s capabilities Periodically participates with interdisciplinary team in client care planning Provides prescribed occupational therapy Performs all skilled procedures as required Consults with physicians regarding change in treatments Writes reports to physicians regarding client’s progress Instructs clients and/or family members in home programs and fine motor movement exercises Completes and submits OASIS assessments, reassessments, transfers, resumptions of care, discharges and significant change in condition in accordance with myPotential defined timeframes as assigned Presents an in-service education to myPotential staff as requested Assists physicians in evaluating level of function Helps develop the plan of care and revises as necessary Prepares clinical and progress notes Advises and consults with clients, family members and other myPotential team members Directs and supervises personnel as required Other duties as assigned IND123
Graduate from an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and/or certified by successfully completing the National Certification examination Currently licensed in the state(s) practicing Two years’ experience as licensed Occupational Therapist preferred Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license Must have and maintain current CPR certification
