Senior Quality Technician

Kelly Engineering Resources has an outstanding Direct Hire opportunity for an experienced Quality Lead. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a secure employer that you can grow with as they have a small, focused team and a great work environment in place culturally. This role will lead the department as they pursue ISO certification and must be able to spearhead an audit. Independent quality investigation skills are a must, as well as an internal drive for continuous process improvement. Technical/SOP writing is also a key skill.

Schedule is Monday thru Friday format, start time at 6:30a or 7a.

Competitive pay and company benefits are offered, and this position is eligible to receive Overtime pay.

Job Duties of the Quality Technician:

  • Manages, completes root cause analysis, and dispositions all CARs (Corrective Action Requests) in conjunction with Quality Manager.

  • Communicates quality data and process observations to management. Makes recommendations for improving products and processes.

  • Inspects raw materials, WIP, and finished goods different stages of production.

  • Assists engineering group with process improvement, material qualification, and other quality related projects.

  • Collects and compiles prescribed quality data and records test results for trending analysis and discussion.

  • Implement and verify quality systems throughout the company.

Qualifications of the Quality Technician:

  • Good communication and team-building skills.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of Quality. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Using required test, measurement and analytical equipment, performs quality control inspections, checks and tests during the manufacture of products.

  • Prior work experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • A minimum of 4 years working in a mid to senior technician level in a Quality Control, or Quality Assurance organization.
