Purpose of JobThe Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of inside sales representatives to increase sales revenue for the Sales Team by qualifying sales leads and new logo opportunities.


  • Manages, develops and motivates a high-performing insides sales team to achieve double-digit sales growth

  • Partners with Regional Sales Managers to identify targeted customer base

  • Generates and develops qualified leads within target market via research and a high volume of cold calling

  • Manages inbound sales inquiries with an ultimate goal to convert inquiries into qualified interest

  • Provides on-going inside sales metrics reporting

  • Conducts team meetings to ensure inside sales team members activities align with overall sales objectives

  • Achieves specific monthly and quarterly sales objectives

  • Schedules product demonstrations as needed

  • Tracks all inside sales activity relating to new customer prospect generation and related sales data into the CRM database

  • Ensures proper training and use of CRM database

  • Addresses performance issues appropriately and in a timely manner

  • As a player/coach, the Inside Sales Manager contributes individually to the success of the team and the sales organization, as well as mentors, trains, coaches and manages the inside sales team

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3+ years in an Inside Sales Management role; enterprise software or hardware sales preferred

  • Must have prior management experience overseeing and developing inside sales teams

  • Experience recruiting and hiring candidates for a high-performance inside sales team

  • Demonstrated experience forecasting new sales opportunities, setting goals, and monitoring sales activity

  • Ability to develop effective business relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Must be an independent, self-starter with a ?hunter? mentality and able to perform in a results-oriented environment

  • Experience prospecting and securing new accounts

  • Ability to navigate Fortune 1000 enterprises to obtain key contacts and motivate decision makers to learn more about APCON solutions

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated professional knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and Word

  • Demonstrated experience with a CRM (SugarCRM highly preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience using sales intelligence tools like DiscoverOrg

  • Bachelor?s Degree preferred and/or equivalent in training and experience

Travel: Infrequently, up to 10%

Physical Demands: To perform the duties of this position, you must have the ability tooccasionally sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, pull, and push between 1-15 lbs.
