The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has 2 roles International Transportation Service Leader and NA Land Transportation Service leader available.These are highly visible, strategic and influential roles within the Company and the Procurement, Logistics and Real Estate function. This position will report to the modal category manager.
Promotes Service Excellence and ensures flawless execution of transportation and import/export activities by understanding business strategy and requirements; setting expectations and continuously improving processes of the logistics service providers managing Chemours transportation execution activities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Strengthen transportation service excellence through collaboration with customers, BU and regional stakeholders, the Logistics COE, Category Managers and service providers.
Ensure customer/client satisfaction levels are measured, maintained and improved
Ensure service provider scope of services is described accurately and monitored regularly to identify redundancies and/or gaps
Ensure that agreed Service Level Targets are met on an on-going basis and reported on through service level reports and performance review meetings.
Analyze data and identify trends for performance improvement
Collaborate with the Category teams to set up a service improvement plans (SIPs) where needed
Serves as escalation point for 3PL partner - and act as conduit to category manager
Responsible for ensuring appropriate root cause analysis and sustained corrective action for logistics service issues in partnership with logistics service providers and Chemours Stakeholders.
Assists Category manager in supplier relationship management activities
Work closely with freight payment provider to permanently correct systemic freight payment issues
The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:
BS in business / supply chain, logistics or equivalent experience
Trade compliance experience for the International desk
Must be able to influence and communicate across multiple organizational levels, functions and business units.
Strong change management, results oriented and decision-making skills
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Strong data and analytical skills
Ability to work in complex environments charged with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.
Strong understanding of 3PL market and outsourcing of logistics services
In depth logistics/transportation/order management experience from Order Receipt to Delivery
Excellent internal customer influence skills
Experience in developing and implementing process improvements
Able to quickly identify and resolve problems, implementing permanent solutions
