JPMorgan Chase Financial Pricing Analyst/Finance Associate in Wilmington, Delaware
Duties: Develop dashboard tools in Excel and PowerPoint to monitor actual vs. estimated profitability metrics to help make recommendations on pricing strategies. Create and maintain financial pricing models in Excel to calculate and evaluate total revenue, ChaseNet and Chase Pay savings, marginal costs and expenses, contribution margin and NPV based on past data and sales inputs, and present the offer pricing to clients using PowerPoint. Make recommendations to yearly CMS budgeting process through proposed and projected deal financials including acquiring ChaseNet, and Chase Pay deals. Devise ways to automate BAU pricing processes using Excel VBA Macros. Re-engineer existing acquiring pricing models with an aim to make Sales teams more self-sufficient with less dependence on Finance. Collaborate with cross functional Sales teams to handle weekly pricing requests and to gather critical merchant information vis-a-vis sales volumes, transactions by method of payment along with desired prices/rates, to analyze prospective and re-negotiate pricing deals. Work with credit card issuing data of both Chase and non-Chase to help price global and domestic merchants, pulling data using Teradata/Oracle SQL, SAS, and COGNOS tools. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Engineering (any), Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience as a Data Analyst or related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills: creating statistical models to determine key performance indicators (KPIs); linear and logistic regression modeling; risk reporting; using MS Powerpoint to graph performance trends; using MS Excel pivot tables to compile and analyze data; forecasting profitability and net credit losses; calculating net present value (NPV) of credit card portfolios; performing variance analysis of actual and forecasted loss rates in order to report and recommend changes to the modeling strategy; SAS including Base SAS and STAT/SAS; SQL including Teradata SQL and Oracle SQL Developer; COGNOS; and Visual Basic for Application (VBA).
