Weatherford Well Service Workshop Technician in WILAYA DE OUARGLA, Algeria
- JOB PURPOSE – OVERALL SUMMARY
Primary role will be to assemble, disassemble rental equipment (under supervision) as well as assemble liner systems (under supervision) per work instructions. The individual will also assist senior workshop personnel in the preparation and testing of Thru-Tubing equipment. He/She will be expected to follow a specified learning plan that will include various computer-based learning modules as well as classroom training. During this phase, He/She may take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
The individual applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks strickty in accordance to Weatherford OEPS standards.
He/she receives close supervision, and thorough review of all work performed for application of sound professional judgment.,
Attend classroom instructional sessions aimed at product line specific training
Complete assigned computer-based training as per the predetermined Learning Plan.
Oversee all workshop activity performed by workshop personnel
Assemble liner systems
Coordinate repairs of damaged equipment
Assist in the training of local workshop personnel including on-the-job mentoring
Identify and use all measurement equipment as per calibration log and work instruction
Responsible for maintaining the calibration list and calibration records, scheduling calibration, and reviewing any out sourced calibration records.
Maintain machinery and shop tools
Able to perform all duties of Workshop Technicians I and II
Have a comprehensive knowledge of the Liner Systems products and services including having the ability to correctly identify all tools and components.
Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
Assist in the shop and make deliveries when available
Must attend all required safety training.
Required to work on a 24 hours call basis.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
Apply strictly Weatherford OEPS standards.
Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Safety Management Systems.

Essential:-College degree in Engineering or related science
Essential:-Minimum 2-4+ years oilfield experience
