Assists with fabrication of tooling and fixtures, installation of approved hardware, and preparing aircraft furniture for finish work.This position will work a 12 hour day shift Friday, Saturday, Sunday.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Safely operates computer numeric controlled production equipment for production, and other machines.Requests maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.Assists cabinet makers as requested by fabricating tooling and fixtures as required from assembly drawings and installing approved hardware, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls, using hand tools. May provide assistance by preparing cabinet parts and cutting panel kits.Assists finishers as requested by preparing aircraft furniture for finish work by sanding and prepping items in accordance with approved specifications.Follows OSHA regulations and requirements and understands Material Safety Data Sheets.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned duty satisfactorily. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to safely use hand tools, including sanders, sprayers, and brushes.Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor's direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.Great health benefit package!
