This third shift position is located at the Arconic Research Center in Whitehall, MI.

As a Jr. Lab Technician, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare samples of metallographic specimens

  • Examine the prepared mounts for customer monthly audits, customer process approvals, and anomaly characterization

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two years continuous work history, post high school

  • Successfully meet the standardized TABE testing requirements. If applicant possesses a minimum of an associate degree, testing is not required.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years of lab experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Must have a desire to learn and collaborate in a manufacturing environment
