House of Blues Guest Experience Host - Westbury in Westbury, New York

Job Summary:

The Role:

The Guest Experience Host position is a great opportunity for a candidate with an innate sense of guest service. The main duty of the Guest Experience Host is to increase revenue by pushing sales, building good will and customer loyalty. The Guest Experience Host will make the customer feel pampered, spoiled and eager to return. Charm and charisma are necessary to excel at the job. The work atmosphere is fast paced, energetic, friendly and fun! Experience in high-end customer service positions is desirable. A background in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.


  • Be present at each event to upsell available inventory to concert patrons

  • Coordinate operations on event nights with the Premium Experience Supervisor, servers and security

  • Serve as a resource of information for Premium clients regarding their experience while at the venue

  • Give proper recognition to Premium clients to show appreciation for their membership and patronage

  • Build strong relationships with Premium clients and have the ability to anticipate their needs

  • Constant observation of Premium areas to ensure guests are receiving personalized service

  • Maintain articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with current audience

  • Maintain exemplary and professional grooming standards


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a flexible schedule

  • Upbeat, positive and charismatic demeanor

  • Experience working with high profile guests and VIP's is preferred

  • Skill in diplomacy and handling multiple tasks

  • Excellent verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong local network a plus

  • Must be a team player

Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, loud and can be stressful at times

  • Requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting technique
