POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Systems/Network Analyst assigned duties in the IT Department including but not limited to network support, hardware maintenance, help desk requests as well as assistance in other areas as needed. Maintain the security of the Information Technology network, recommend and install security hardware and software, analyze networks for potential security threats and develop protocols on best practice. He/She will demonstrate Old-World Hospitality and Charm while enforcing the Responsible Gaming Plan as well as adherence to Internal Control Procedures.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Plan, direct and coordinate, installation and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation

  2. Achieves system security operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change

  3. Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans

  4. Provides technical advice, problem solving support, guidance and informal training to end users not limited to network systems/programs

  5. Advises senior management by identifying critical security issues; recommending risk-reduction solutions

  6. Ensure data integrity by keeping system updates and security rights updated at all times

  7. Protects computer assets by developing security strategies; directing system control development and access management, monitoring, control, and evaluation

  8. SQL database understanding and knowledge

  9. Basic LAN and WAN troubleshooting skills

  10. Responsible for telephone, data center, security systems and other electronic infrastructure

  11. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

  12. Manage and Maintain a VM Virtual environment; datastores, LUN’s and ESX hosts

  13. Understanding of server technologies, operating systems, as well as physical and virtual servers.

  14. Understanding of backup policies and procedures, working with backup software

  15. Establishes system safeguards by directing disaster preparedness development; conducting preparedness tests

  16. Manage and maintain a strong monitoring system and be able to produce standard reports on the status of the infrastructure.

  17. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations; coordinating hardware and software evaluations with vendors

  18. Support for network switches/infrastructure

  19. Analyze system problems and determine solutions and processes to implement

  20. Troubleshoot calls from team members not limited to system issues

  21. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration required; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, critical think and time management skills are a must

  • Strong mentoring skills for teamwork.

  • Knowledge of casino operations preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of casino and hospitality specific technology and trends preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and network design; security systems in the casino and hospitality industry.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong project management skills.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.

  • Obtain required license(s).

  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.

  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.

  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.

  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.

  • Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of.
