Deloitte SQL Developer/ Performance Data Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Actively seeking an SQL Developer & Performance Data Analyst (Clearance Required) in Washington, D.C.!

Work you ll do:

This unique opportunity is a combination of a Technical SME and Performance Data Analyst. The technical responsibilities include troubleshooting/ bug fix of an existing custom application and its foundational database, therefore SQL development experience is required, and MS Sequel server administration and SSRS knowledge is a plus. The functional responsibilities of this highly visible role include working with a team to understand the clients business needs, and create metrics to track performance and success of business objectives. Our ideal candidate will manage the maintenance and operations of the clients performance management database and reporting solution, hence should be comfortable reading technical documentation, while being capable of independently investigating technical challenges, as well as working collaboratively with other groups to solve complex problems. Being comfortable with business analysis concepts, and requirements gathering is also necessary.

Systems Engineering

Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

U.S. Citizenship is required as is an active Secret Clearance

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

- Previous and proven experience p erforming backend data modifications using SQL and modify / optimize SQL statements

- Troubleshoot database issues as needed to maintain system operations

- Handle common database procedures such as upgrades, backups, recovery, migrations, etc., while providing support for data migrations and major changes

- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases, coupled with expertise of business and/or technical analysis of relational database solutions

- Proven experience working with clients to understand and document their business needs

- Strong verbal and written communication skills,

- An active Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

- Proficient knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server

- Prior experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, as well as SharePoint

- Prior experience developing visualizations and dashboards

- Familiarity of ITIL, IT Service Desk, and/or IT performance metrics

- Ability to work with clients to document performance measurement needs, and to monitor that performance.

- Solid experience documenting technical concepts and environments
