CACI International SPS Tech Leads Group Lead in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

CACI is seeking a SPS Tech Leads Group Lead to lead a group of 6-12 technical leads and subject matter experts, who will provide expert technical advice and program management primarily to Ship Design Managers for combatants, amphibious and auxiliary ships. You will help the Navy buy great ships.

What You’ll Get to Do:

You will mentor young and up-and-coming technical engineering experts as they make the transition into project managers and technical team leads. You will be assisted by SMEs in your group who have deep skills in ship design and engineering, and/or experience serving as Ship Design Managers in the past. Because of the nature of the group, you will be equally proficient in hard skills like naval architecture, mechanical or marine engineering as well as project skills like Microsoft Project, financial tracking, customer support and mentorship. As technical lead for our group, you will set the standard practices and processes for our engineering design efforts. We are currently working on over a dozen ships, including the CVN, LCS, Future Large Surface Combatant, LHA, LHD, T-AO, and T-AGOS classes.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering

  • Twelve years of experience in leading technically complex systems engineering and integration projects

  • Experience leading a team of individuals

  • Experience in the Navy or Maritime environment

  • US Citizen with a Secret Clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Great interpersonal relationship and customer service skills

  • Project Management Professional or DAU Program Manager Certification

  • Experience with American Bureau of Shipping Rules

  • Experience with Military Sealift Command Ships

  • Knowledge of SEA 05D programs
