CACI International SPS Electrical Engineering Group Lead in Washington, District Of Columbia
CACI is seeking a SPS Electrical Engineering Group Lead to lead a group of 6-12 electrical power generation, distribution and controls engineers, who are serving our NAVSEA customers by buying great combatants, amphibious and auxiliary ships. You will help the Navy buy great ships.
What You’ll Get to Do:
As technical lead for our electrical engineering group, you will set the standard practices and processes for our engineering design efforts. You will develop requirements for new ship designs, check shipyard deliverables for accuracy, observe Factory Acceptance Tests for new generators, motors and propulsion systems, and ride on ship’s trials to prove that the ship’s electrical systems work as intended. Key work products include Electric Power Loads Analysis, One-Line Diagrams, Controls Diagrams, and Test Procedures, both for ship systems and mission systems for the Navy. Although computers and control systems are involved, this is not an IT position. We are currently working on over a dozen ships, including the CVN, LCS, Future Large Surface Combatant, LHA, LHD, T-AO, and T-AGOS classes.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering
Twelve years of experience with electrical generation, distribution and power systems in an industrial environment
Experience leading a team of individuals
Experience in the Navy or Maritime environment
US Citizen with a Secret Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with American Bureau of Shipping Rules
Experience with Military Sealift Command Ships
Knowledge of SEA 05D programs
