The Housekeeping supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping and laundry staff and is also responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families, and team members while meeting and exceeding Grand Oaks quality service standards.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Able to provide services in a resident centered environment, which meet or exceed Grand Oaks' quality standards.

  2. Desire to work with seniors.

  3. Ability to handle multiple priorities.

  4. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.

  5. Competent in organizational, time management skills.

  6. Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills.

  7. Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all community procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrates initiative.

  8. Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions.

Minimum Qualifications:Diploma/Certificate/GED required

Hours per week:40 hours per week

Shift:8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Work location:Washington, DC
