Latitude, Inc. Electro-Mechanical Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia
The Electro-Mechanical Engineer conducts research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer systems, circuit boards, hardware devices, and electromechanical components. Designs new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, provides industrial design, prototypes and documents, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.
Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware products
Conducts the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify and adapt vendor-manufactured hardware to meet client needs and contingencies
Assist with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products
Conduct design/test analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient and reliable
Communicate with other engineering team members to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion
Executes work, keeps records and reports back on daily status.
Design new hardware, creating drawings of computer equipment to be built
Test the completed models of the hardware design
Analyze the test results and modify the design as needed
Update existing equipment so that it will work with new software
Oversee the manufacturing process for hardware
Maintain knowledge of hardware engineering trends and new technologies
Demonstrated understanding of IT planning, Enterprise Architecture, multi-discipline
Experience in system engineering methodologies and structured approaches to system development.
Engineering, and operations across multiple disciplines.
Experience with design and development of Common Integrated Infrastructures and Enterprise Service Management solutions.
Experience working with development teams, suppliers, and manufacturers
Experience with Design, Integration and Testing.
Experience with CAD, prototyping methodologies and tools
Experience with SolidWorks is highly preferred
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience in writing processes
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
