DCG Communications Communications Project Manager (Account Supervisor) in Washington, District Of Columbia
DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking a motivated, collaborative and highly organized Communications Project Manager (Account Supervisor) to lead our team on behalf of our federal client. The project manager will develop and execute strategic communication plans in line with the client?s goals and objectives, providing value-add initiatives and generating new ideas to support outreach to veterans. Additionally, the manager will oversee and participate in the implementation of client-directed outreach and media relations strategies, focus groups, and a radio media tour to increase awareness, understanding, and participation of key stakeholders.
In addition to establishing positive relationships with client, the project manager will directly supervise one full-time team member, overseeing their quality of work and contributing to their professional growth and development via coaching and mentoring as well as participating in mid-year and annual performance evaluations. The manager will be an ambassador for DCG and provide a connection for the team back to the DCG culture.
Location: Washington, DC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work from DCGs office at WeWork Metropolitan Square, as well as from home. Support of focus groups will be based out of a client facility in Washington, DC.
A minimum of five years of prior public relations and communications experience to include leading projects and supporting and managing federal programs
Proven experience developing and executing a project management plan (PMP), overseeing delivery, providing client management, directing all communication, and managing deliverable schedules
Experience developing and executing communications and marketing products that are clear, concise, accurate, and relevant to the designated communications channel audience and program objectives
Clear communication and presentation skills and ability to articulate client recommendations and rationales
Strong writing skills for content generation with ability to edit materials prepared by others to ensure deliverables are client ready
Ability to oversee, provide direction and support the professional development of direct reports
Strong attention to detail
Experience leading and facilitating focus groups, developing outreach toolkits, supporting a radio tour, and providing oversight of web design
Experience developing and implementing online and print advertising campaigns
