Intersect ENT Inc. Territory Manager - Orange County CA in United States

PURPOSE OF JOB: The Intersect Territory Manager will be responsible for representing our products to new and existing ENT customers, while achieving the sales expectations/quota of an assigned territory. Successful performance will be measured by market share growth/revenue generation, as well as other key metrics. Success is realized through the cultivation of strong customer relationships, conducting consultative sales calls, utilizing solid product/technical knowledge, following a targeted call plan, and developing/maintaining a comprehensive business plan.. The Territory Manager approaches each customer from a total account management perspective, by leveraging resources appropriately, and collaborating with internal and external partners.


  • Drives all dailysales objectives focusing on territory growth.These include new account targeting, cultivation, and launchplanning/execution.

  • Conductsconsultative sales calls to targeted ENT physician customers as well as allancillary staff (e.g.: RN’s, OR Directors, ENT offices, ambulatory surgerycenters, etc.)

  • Develop and executeon territory business plans in a 3-month sales cycle/quota-based system.

  • Directs alltraining and education planning during account launches.

  • Transfers accountknowledge and other requested information to VP of Sales on weekly basis.

  • Manages expensebudgets for their respective geography, and is accountable for compliance withCompany policy and procedures, the Quality System and other regulatoryrequirements

  • Makes clinicaland economic presentations to customers, committee members and relevant staff.

  • Maintains currentworking knowledge of reimbursement environment and speaks proficientlyregarding such matters.

  • Builds andmaintains solid customer relationships, including KOL cultivation and maintenance.

  • Demonstratesoutstanding product knowledge and can impart this knowledge to the largernational team.

  • Implementstargeted call plan and appropriately organizes corporate resources wherenecessary.

  • Completesadministrative requirements on time and accurately.

  • Maintains companystandards involving ethical and moral character, and always represents thecompany with the highest professional standards.

  • Developsrelationships with hospital administrative staff and develops and executescorporate contracts where appropriate.

  • Share knowledgewith and provide input/assistance to broader organization (e.g., train newhires, cross-cover territories as needed, share best practices, provide inputinto marketing programs, share competitive intelligence, etc.) EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in Business or related discipline

  • A minimum of 8 years of directly related experience

  • Experience inmedical device sales strongly preferred

  • Extensive travel(>50%) may be required OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent interpersonaland negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities; andability to maintain good working relationships while dealing appropriately withsensitive and confidential matters and with a wide variety of personal andtelephone contacts. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proficiencyin business English and grammar. Attention to detail to maintain records andprocess reports. Knowledge of MS Office systems. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS, VISUAL ACUITY,AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical Activity- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists,hands, and/or fingers.   • PhysicalRequirements - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionallyand/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry,push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary workinvolves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standingare required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

  • Visual Acuity -The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity suchas: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computerterminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, smallparts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurementdevices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to theeyes.

  • Working Conditions- The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occurinside and outside.
