CellAntenna Corporation RF Field Engineer Interference Hunting in United States

CellAntenna has a position available for a qualified candidate that has experience in RF Interference hunting and mitigation to provide support for our engineers. Your duties would include identifying and tracking down external sources of interference that pose a problem for our customers, interpreting spectrum analyzer data and reporting. As the RFIM specialist, you must have experience as a RF Field engineer and have a good understanding of all aspects of RF specifically related to Cellular , Public Safety, including 2G,3G and 4G LTE.

Since experience is essential, the candidate should already have performed signal hunting in the field, have strong skills in using a spectrum analyzer and other related equipment.

Specific Tasks:

  • Perform advanced RF Interference Hunting operations, including identification of sources in various environments

  • Operate and maintain the measurement instruments and tools used

  • Identify and plan routes in agreement with management

  • Work closely with customers in order to resolve problems quickly

  • Document interference event dispatch activity completely, as instructed

  • Develop continuous improvement tactics and operations for all measurement systems and processes

  • Report project status, action items and next planned steps on a regular basis

Qualifications:

  • BS or equivalent degree in EE/Computer Science (or related field of study) or RFIM certificate or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in operating measurement instruments such as DF-equipment, spectrum analyzers and PIM test equipment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of RF technology, radio propagation, cellular technologies and network architectures

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the physical setup of base stations

  • Knowledge on spectrum management and licensing is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and to excel in a high pressure work environment with rapidly changing business priorities, travel requirements etc.

  • Must be able to work in a field environment with work at remote locations.

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders to a minimum of 50 feet.

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be able to

  • travel as required by the company.
