The Rate Specialist will assist with full cycle rate creation and rate management across multiple sales channels. The Rate Specialist will possess the depth and breadth of subject matter expertise needed to successfully plan and accomplish functional goals.


  • Support Rate Supervisor to ensure successful implementation of new products as well as changes to existing products.

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing product changes by providing data analysis and reporting.

  • Provides support to IT and Data Mgmt. with testing of new products and programs

  • Input and manage rate schedules in custom, internal contract management system.

  • Analyze monthly reports for multiple products.

  • Analyze production data to identify trends; liaise with various departments to address and rectify issues.

  • Work within broad limits on highly complex assignments.


  • 2+ years, experience in finance, accounting, insurance underwriting or financial analysis

  • Service Contract or Automotive Warranty Administrator experience preferred

  • SQL knowledge/experience strongly preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills

  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies

  • Ability to decipher inaccuracies in a quick and timely manner

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Ability to effectively assess data

  • Strong written and oral communication

  • Excellent abilities in time and conflict management
