Virginia Mason Memorial Radiology Technologist in United States

ROLE SUMMARY Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist performs radiographic examinations of selected portions of the anatomy as requested by an authorized, licensed Provider. The Radiology Technologist is expected to perform a variety of radiologic procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply a prescribed amount of radiation for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic-quality radiographs on all ages of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program under Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) required. Experience: 2-4 years’ experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred. Licenses/Certificates/Registration: American Heart Association BLS required. Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology required. Washington State DOH Radiology certification required.
