Ops Benefits / Payroll Coordinator will be a key member of the HR team and will report to the Ops and Benefits Manager. This person will be responsible for the processing and coordination of payroll and benefits.
Provide new employees with an overview explanation of benefits as needed and assist employees with enrolling in medical, dental and vision insurance plans
Administer COBRA termination notices
Administer enrollment of HSA and FSA plans
Billing/Invoice Reconciliation for all insurance policies
Review and respond to unemployment claims[MD1]
Coordinate and follow up with workers compensation claims and STD claims with employees and third party vendors
Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
Respond to employees general inquiries and process Benefit changes
Review bi-weekly benefit changes and payroll deductions
Working knowledge in benefits: Open enrollment, Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, STD/LTD, Life AD&D, 401K, Worker's Comp, FMLA, Cobra, 5500 reports, unemployment claims.
Process and update employee changes in multiple system
Process multi-state and multi-province payroll preparation and completion for over 500 + employees in the US and Canada.
Respond to employee inquiries concerning payroll, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and SOX compliance.
Perform monthly payroll close duties.
Review all payroll reporting and ensure accurate and timely filing with appropriate governmental authorities.
Special projects as assigned.
Transmit payroll for each site and download payroll reports.
Download all changes by Managers from HRB and Payroll to Preview
Calculate OT hours and enter in payroll.
Prepare and distribute semi-monthly payroll reports and adjustment to accounting and HR.
Import hourly and salary employees into ADP.
College degree recommended.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll processing.
Must have knowledge of payroll tax regulations, benefits processing, and government payroll filings.
Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Report Writing & Concur
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Superior verbal/written skills and communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to details is essential.
Must be able to keep information confidential.
Must be able to work with little to no supervision
