API Heat Transfer Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor in United States

Position Purpose:

This position will have dual responsibilities. This individual will be responsible for specific engineering projects, process improvements and scrap reduction efforts. In addition but not limited too, the senior engineer will be responsible for scheduling, assigning and monitoring the performance of the remaining engineers within the department. This position also includes supervising, scheduling and monitoring the activities of the Automation Programming group.

Responsibilities:

  1. Through various forms of data analysis, develop improvement initiatives or projects that contribute to reductions in material, labor or overhead expense.
  2. Through various forms of data analysis, develop improvement initiatives or projects that contribute to improved quality and delivery.
  3. Assist in the development, execution and implementation of process improvements identified and scheduled in annual Roadmap Initiatives.
  4. Supervise the activities of subordinate engineers on similar improvement projects as described in the above sections 1& 2.
  5. Additional responsibilities a. Assist in the development, execution and implementation of annual capital budgets. b. Develop forms of data collection for measuring process performance and operational effectiveness. c. Responsible for the implementation and expansion of automated processes through robotics. d. Other duties as required by management.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelors Degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
  2. 2 to 3 years experience in supervising and coordinating the efforts of an engineering department required.
  3. Experience in brazed aluminum heat exchangers and /or plate heat exchanger assembly required.
  4. Background in welding (ASME code)
  5. Robotics/Automation including PLC's.
