We are searching for a Front End Web/SharePoint Developer II to join our government project in Alexandria, VA.

The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), is the security and law enforcement arm of the DOS and is a leader in international investigations, threat analysis, cyber security, counterterrorism, security technology, and protection of people, property, and information. Its primary mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy.

The Countermeasures Directorate (DS/C) manages the development and implementation of all physical and technical countermeasures security standards and policies that apply to DOS facilities domestically and overseas; securely transports classified diplomatic materials across international borders; and provides defensive equipment to protect the lives of U.S. government personnel, classified information, and property.


This position will engage in design, building, implementation and maintenance of innovative information technology applications in support of this global mission. The following is required:

  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to effectively streamline customer’s processes.

  • The initiative to research the best possible solution for the customer given limited resources.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including explaining technical and program requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Applicable knowledge of API/RESTful services.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work independently and with a team.

  • Strong time management and attention to detail skills.


  • Minimum of five years of experience using Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and REACT.

  • Three years of experience with Sites, Site Collections, and lists and libraries in SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online and/or Office 365.

  • Two years of experience with SharePoint Designer and workflow implementation.

  • Two years of experience managing large projects.

  • Two years of experience providing customer support.

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related is desirable.

  • Five to seven years of experience in Front End Web/SharePoint Development
