Active Network Billing Specialist in United States

ACTIVE's Revenue Accounting group is seeking a motivated professional focused on customer service and process improvement to fill its Billing Specialist role. The Revenue Accounting group drives the orders to cash process and ultimately the accounting for a diverse and complex product and service offering. The Billing Specialist serves a critical role within the group ensuring quality and timeliness for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Review orders to ensure persuasive evidence of an arrangement is present

  • Compile proof of delivery for open orders and bill accordingly

  • Compile support for invoices to be reviewed prior to mailing invoices to customers

  • Manage and respond to customer account inquires and requests

  • Initiate and manage reoccurring billings based on contract information and direction from other members of the team

  • File invoices and supporting deal packets by customer alphanumerically

  • Interact with and serve as a business partner to internal customers, including sales, legal, finance and accounting

  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting and financial projects as requested

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Possess hands on experience using financial system software, such as Oracle

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meeting tight deadlines

  • Display strong communication skills, both oral and written, as demonstrated by having an ability to interpret, present, and explain issues

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and an ability to apply concepts on a consistent basis

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience is required

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a high volume, large transaction environment is preferred
