Liberty Healthcare Corporation Behavior Analyst - BCBA or BCaBA in United States

A newly-created full-time 'Qualified Behavior Modification Professional' position is anticipated to become available in early 2019 with Liberty Healthcare. This position will be responsible for providing behavior analysis services to clients of two new 4-bed community crisis homes in La Puente, CA.

Clients of these two homes will have intellectual and developmental disabilities, may be dually-diagnosed with mental illness or substance abuse issues, may currently or historically face forensic complications, and will primarily be transitioning to community placement from a developmental center, psychiatric hospital or acute crisis facility.

Specific responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Providing behavior modification intervention services for approximately 8 adult clients

  • Conducting functional assessments of clients to identify factors that are maintaining dangerous, maladaptive and disruptive behaviors

  • Designing, implementing and monitoring the efficacy of behavioral plans

  • Training staff and other stakeholders

  • Actively participating in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings

  • Rapidly responding to individual client needs

  • Serving as a member of the program's management team

Qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

  • At least two years of experience designing, implementing and supervising behavior modification services for people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and a cooccurring mental Illness or behavioral impairment / severe emotional disturbance

  • California Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) and Psychologists who have behavior modification experience also qualify for this position.

Individuals who are interested this position on a part-time basis and willing to work 20-hours weekly will be considered.
