Job Purpose:

  • ICG KYC Operations Control is an AML/KYC support and control function within the Institutional Clients Group responsible for the research and preparation of the KYC Records and associated documentation in partnership with Relationship Management and Compliance

  • Job Background/context:

  • Core focus is to support the ICG KYC Operations Control Head and play a key role in the efficient running of the unit Demonstrate thought leadership, operational excellence and strategy, change management, people management and ability to communicate effectively both internally within the BSU as well as the business across APAC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and oversight over the day to day operations of the KYC operations team across APAC

  • Development and oversight of Operational Controls across APAC KYC Operations

  • Monitor activities and service level agreements are executed to the highest professional standard and in line with Citi policies, procedures, and risk and compliance guidelines

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for Business Reviews

  • Lead the interaction of activities between the KYC Operations and the wider KYC Utility teams

  • Play a key and active role in the APAC KYC Operations leadership team

  • Manage capacity planning and modelling

  • Manage Market Data Services and successfully employ same to drive workflow efficiencies

  • Manage weekly MIS metrics around, production costs and controls

  • Manage BSU projects / quality initiatives for the BSU across APAC as they relate to operational activities

  • Manage and promote continuous improvement of procedures, processes and standards across the operation to achieve high levels of customer service, cost-effectiveness and maximum efficiency

  • Play a key role in the operational rollout of BSU 20

  • Periodically interact with global and regional seniors including but not limited to Global KYC Utility Management, Relationship Management, Compliance / AMLCOs and Product groups

  • Carryout quality audits on the production teams so as to ensure consistency across the region

  • Become fully conversant in all key Compliance and Risk activities as it relates to the BSU

  • Become fully conversant with the rollout the CitiKYC system enhancement and managing all impacts on the operational environment including impact assessment, UAT and Training

  • Manage Financials and Headcount relative to our monthly, quarterly and annual budget

  • Manage governance and oversight of all Risk and Controls across the BSU

Qualifications

Person Specification:

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Strong previous management experience of managing teams (experience managing team in multiple locations and advantage)

  • Demonstrate ability to Lead and Motivate individuals within a pressurised environment

  • Experience in banking or finance

  • Experience in control/risk or Compliance (AML/KYC) function (an advantage)

  • Knowledge and experience of the technologies and processes used in Citigroup (or equivalent) would be highly advantageous

  • Demonstrated experience of optimization in processes (legal/regulatory adherence an advantage)

  • Knowledge of AML policies and regulatory requirements

  • Considerable experience of dealing with senior management in a multi-function environment
