Vectrus Dining Facility Manager/ASM in Jordan

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee all food services operations under the general guidance of the Site Manager. The DFAC Manager will direct all work and be responsible for performance in each facility (to include subcontractors) to meet the specific performance requirements and standards in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Shall function as the Alternate Site Manager as well.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.

1.Dining Facility Manager will be responsible for food services operations and personnel supervision to include subcontractors in accordance with the performance work statement. Food service operation services to include: DFAC management, cooking, food preparation, baking, serving, replenishing food, storeroom operations, water delivery and DFAC equipment maintenance.

2.Shall conduct all food handling, storage, receiving and transferring of subsistence in strict accordance with the applicable Tri-Service Food Code and keep records of all food received and stored as required, verifying proper handling and storage procedures are used.

3.Shall coordinate with the Government Food Service Advisor for preparation and posting of the daily/weekly menus.

4.Manage subcontractor performance with food preparation, food serving, cashier operations, cleanliness of the dining areas, serving lines, kitchens, temperature danger zones, dishwashing area and storage areas IAW with PWS and SOPs.

5.Maintain all equipment accountability and serviceability and turn-in and ordering of stock levels.

6.Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations.

7.Direct and ensure that HACCP controls are followed.

8.Establish and maintain a comprehensive food safety training program.

9.Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.

10.Responsible for ensuring precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.

11.Responsible for assisting the site manager with CDRL report completion and quality control.

12.Acts as Site Manager in his/her absence.

13.Performs other duties and assignments as required.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Computer, Cell Phone, Vehicle, MHE, and other office equipment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Working environment will change between environmentally controlled office and storage activities exposed to outside environment. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Physical requirements may include lifting up to 50lb, climbing, extended sitting, and standing, stooping, stretching or bending.May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE-ex: gas mask, steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.) as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:One year related experience may be substituted forone year of education, if degree is required.

Must have a High School diplomaor equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred.

Must have and maintain a currentServe-Safe certification (Within 3 years).

Must have a valid Passport and Driver’s License.

Musthave and maintain a valid SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearanceprior to deployment.

Mustbe able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

Mustbe able to pass MOD13 employment and deployment qualification requirements thatinclude psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.

Experience:

Military food service experiencein the grade of Sergeant First Class (E-7) or above within the past eight (8)years, one (1) year must have been served as a manager or assistantmanager.

Skills:

Must be knowledgeable in Tri-ServiceFood Code, Food Safety Program AFI 34-239, AFMAN 34-240, Food Service ProgramManagement Armed Forces Recipe System, inventory control, HACCP, and the U.SDepartment of Health and Human Services Food Code standards.

Thoroughunderstanding of quality customer food service and preparation of nutritionalmeals.

Mustbe able to work under pressure.
