QSC, LLC Senior Applications Engineer in Germany

The Senior Applications Engineer is a customer-centric role responsible to provide training, system design and post-sales assistance to integrators, consultants and end-customers in the German-speaking market.


  • Conducts Q-Sys Architect Training (High-Level Q-Sys overview training) and Q-Sys Level 1 + Level 2 trainings.

  • Teaching technicians how to troubleshoot (Quantum Training) - would also be a topic the candidate should be capable of performing.

  • Control coding abilities would be a plus, as well as the ability to teach this subject (Q-Sys control training 101 + 201).

System Design (Pre-Sales Support)

  • Provide a preview of costs for the hardware of a QSC/Q-Sys system.

  • Provide the tender specs for the system mentioned above.

  • Supporting consultants and system integrators to design a system with QSC components.

  • Being capable to work with Visio and Autocad, as well as EASE Focus/Address.

  • Experience in working with DSP design software of different manufacturers.

Post-Sales Support

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.

  • Track and monitor system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits.

  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. product managers).

  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers whilst ensuring all issues are logged accordingly.

  • Manage the follow up procedure to ensure systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.

  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.

  • Maintain and build an excellent relationship with customers and end users.

  • In conjunction with the product development teams participate in market research, competitor and customer surveys.

  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.

  • Attend industry training and develop relevant knowledge and skills to enhance performance.

  • Experience of team management and leadership

  • Proven work experience in AV&C system design and technical support

  • Work experience with Unified Communications and Network Operations Centers a plus

  • Strong understanding of and experience in audiovisual systems design, technical support and troubleshooting

  • AV certification (e.g. CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) and/or network certification (e.g., CCNA) and/or control experience a plus

  • Exceptional technical ability with a detail oriented approach

  • Well organized to manage conflicting priorities

  • Excellent problem-solving skills individually and as part of a team

  • Strong people management and leadership skills

  • Confident and engaging presentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills – with the ability to translate technical information for all types of audiences

  • Fluent German language skills (both verbal and written)

  • Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written)
