Position Description:

Project Analyst supports the SAMS client branch within a high profile military leadership office, providing project support to the SAMS client with Policy and Governance matters with the DoD leadership and joint Military Leadership. The Project Analyst position maintains a high level of strict confidentiality due to the sensitivity of information being processed through the SAMS client’s Directorate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or six years for relevant work experience (Master’s preferred)

  • Experience managing multiple projects and tasks and experience with military

  • Experience such as that gained at an O-4 to O-5 level in the United States Military, or GS-11 to GS-13 civilian service, interfacing with very senior military and civilian officials and the protocol involved is desirable

Desired Skills/Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, coordinate and submit SAMS client’s positions with Military Leadership, liaison with other departments and agencies, maintain databases for current scheduled topics and historic topics (including results of decisions), and generate reports as required by the SAMS client at a minimum

  • Manage all staff actions procedural policies, task assignments and monitoring for completeness/correctness of staff action documents delivered to Military Leadership and Joint Military Leadership Directorates for governance meeting topics.

  • Must be able to work independently, make informal judgments and timely decisions; while relying on broad knowledge base and experience in the absence of pertinent written guidelines due to the uniqueness of issues

  • Must be highly skilled in briefing senior Leadership by oral and written communications

  • Must be able to routinely and expertly analyze complex technical issues and presenting analyzed results in clear and concise language.

  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities for continually and successfully accomplishing multiple task assignments

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or six years for relevant work experience (Master’s preferred)
