Oracle Business Planning Director-Ops in Vienna, Virginia

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency. Provides business practices and processes. Drives policies and procedures that monitor and support the organization*s operational and financial business objectives. Provides analysis and advice to management in the areas of operations, resource management, finance, revenue accounting, pricing, and/or contracts. May also be responsible for administration, knowledge management, and/or communications.

Develops and monitor P&L forecasts. Develops and monitor metrics to measure other key performance indicators and group performance. Performs competitive analysis. Creates pricing strategy and cost accounting (business modeling) for projects. Reviews contracts for terms, pricing and approvals. Work with account team to close deals. Interfaces with client to resolve contract/delivery disputes. May be responsible for directing resource management staff, ensuring maximum utilization. May be involved with compensation and bonus process. Manage at least two direct reports.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.

_Job Duties Include:_

We are looking for a high performing individual who is able to apply fact-based insights to impact key business decisions and learning strategy planning. In this role, you will need strong skills in strategic thinking, knowledge of data analysis and modeling, analytic problem framing and solving; and generally be a very resourceful and charismatic leader who is able to effectively communicate insights and influence at all levels, drive cross-functional initiatives, and work effectively with multiple stakeholders in any situation.

Initiates, conducts, and analyzes learning data, performance data, and other dimensions. Provides analyses leading to timely, relevant, data-based and actionable recommendations. These analyses will utilize a variety of sources including primary research, syndicated research, user behavior, financial analysis, competitive analysis, analyst firms data, etc. Identifies and develops data sources to provide 360 degree view of the market.

o High level of discretion and organizational awareness. Ability to handle and communicate delicate information.

o Self-starter with ownership mentality; energetic and enthusiastic. A "delivery-oriented", can-do, hands-on personality.

o Strong project management skills. Proactively manages and adjusts to the dynamic needs of the internal customer base. Ability to prioritize simultaneous projects/deliverables/deadlines to successful completion (i.e. in a quality and timely manner) while keeping focus on strategic priorities.

o Team-player; excellent collaboration skills in a cross-functional and matrix environment. Proven ability to work with Sales, Product Management/Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Executives.

_Preferred Qualifications Include: _

o A Bachelor s degree in marketing, economics, business or related fields. MBA or related graduate degree preferred. 12 years related experience, including 5 years of data research, data analytics, learning and development, talent development, Six Sigma or business analysis/planning experience.

o A big plus if the candidate has worked for a larger complex organization.

o Experience deploying, building and managing Business Intelligence/Analytics Dashboards. Familiarity with BI applications/tools/reporting systems a plus.

o Outstanding knowledge of MS Excel (including advanced reporting, formula, and pivot tables), PowerPoint and Word.

o Experience or some knowledge of statistical analysis software a plus. Experience designing and executing both qualitative and quantitative research and statistical data model building a plus.
