FLSA Status:Non-Exempt Hourly

Location:Corporate Headquarters, Wolcott

Reports To:Assistant Controller

Position Summary:

The Accounting Clerk supports the A/P and A/R team in all day to day functions, as well as the Tool and Equipment Manager and Marble Shop Manager at our West Campus (Gypsum).

Accounts Receivable Support:

  • Assist A/ R and Job Cost Accountant

Accounts Payable Support:

  • Manage subcontractor and vendor insurance compliance

  • Reconciliation and coding of corporate credit cards

  • Process assigned vendor invoices

  • W-9 vendor compliance

  • Support and backup AP clerks as needed

  • Balance statements as needed

  • Process year end 1099 forms and reporting

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Accounting support at the Company‚Äôs West Campus (Gypsum) to include updating and reconciling tool and consumable inventory, updating production for the marble shop, including associated paperwork

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Sales/Use Tax and Occupational Privilege Tax returns

  • Enter material transfers/logs

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent and/or 1-3 years construction accounting experience

  • Work requires an excellent command of English language.

  • Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard equipment, at a level generally acquired through three years of related experience.

  • Must have knowledge and proficient use of a variety of computer software applications in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel as well preferred experience with accounting specific software.

  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy and a positive attitude.

  • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.

  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and external clients on a daily basis.
