Position Summary:

The Education and Research Coordinator serves the brain and spine physician group to coordinate multiple schedules between the physician group and entities including but not limited to Carle Illinois College of Medicine, Graduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, and internal and external research entities. Coordinate, organize, prepare, and assist with presentations, projects, and other business and operational needs to support the physician and administrative leadership to advance the vision of the CNI brain and spine division. Solution-driven, customer service-oriented, and organized in developing, implementing, and monitoring processes to support growth and partnership with education and research goals. Assist with internal and external relationships.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Would consider candidate with minimum of 5 years experience related to position summary and essential job functions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 years in healthcare, research, or education field OTHER REQUIREMENTS Microsoft office, Outlook, strong customer service, and excellent verbal / written communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage physician and future medical student / fellow schedules between clinical, research, academic,and administrative commitments

  • Assist with research grant applications

  • Participate in the collaborationof the faculty to formalize curriculum development related to CICOM students and CNI fellowship opportunities

  • Liaison with research coordinators and clinical support staffto manage CNI physician schedules for ongoing research studies

  • Coordinate medical student rotations within CNI

  • Assist with presentation preparation

  • Content development and collaboration with marketing to promote regional outreach and web site design
