Position: NA Nursing Assistant
Department: 12W, Stepdown Intermediate Care
Schedule: PRN, Nights – Will work 12-hour shifts as needed (6:30pm – 07:00am)
Location: St. John Medical Center - Tulsa, OK
Cardiopulmonary Acute Care (12W), home of the Innovative Professional Development Unit (IPDU) offers a culture of education, support and team work. This high acuity department offers the utmost level of care for patients, while supporting new grads with a curriculum built around training and mentorship. There are many opportunities to develop and grow professionally and as an educator. All RN’s on this floor will serve as mentors for new grads in all aspects of nursing. What You Will Do
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to assistwith basic patient care activities.
Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Assists in providing care appropriate to population specific facilitating timely and individualized care of assigned patients.
Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
What You Will Need
BLS Providerobtained within1 Month (30 days)of hire date or job transfer date.
High school diploma or GED required
