Systems Analyst - Epic Clindocs / Epic Orders Req #: 30114158 Category: Business Ops Facility: PNC Center Department: IT Acute Care/Ancil RC Admin Schedule: Full time Shift: DaysHours: 8 am - 4:30 pm Job Details:Systems Analyst -- Epic Clindoc / Epic OrdersGENERAL SUMMARY:Under general direction. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering application architecture, business requirements, system limitations and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written or applications configured. Responsible for program/configuration design, coding/configuring, testing, debugging, and documentation. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Has good understanding of the business or function for which application is designed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:* Participation in all phases of the IT system development, including evaluation of software solutions* Research to develop, configure and modify moderately complex information systems* Create documentation of business requirements, current and future state workflows* Designs, codes/configures, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs/applications* Coordinate all testing phases of associated applications during implementations and upgrades* Support existing functionality with further expansion to additional Hospital Department Outpatients* Develop strong relationships with end user communities, customers and business partnersESSENTIAL SKILLS:Potential candidates must possess the following essential skills for this position:*Excellent analytical and organizational skills*Excellent oral and written communication skills* Ability to work independently and as a team member across multiple teams* Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards* Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues* Ability to understand customer requirements and their impact on technical directions of a solution* Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one's own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities*Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)STANDARD QUALIFICATIONSMinimum educational requirement:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Nursing, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, Industrial Engineering or related fieldWork Experience requirement: Minimum of 3 years' work experience in Information Technology. Certifications required: Must have current EPIC Clindoc and/or Orders (2017 version) Certification Other requirements:•Clinical experience a plus•Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours end user support.•Flexible scheduling during support of Go-Live for upcoming projects•Advanced understanding of clinical workflows and terminology preferredBeaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
