The Clinical Nurse provides quality#160; patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont#160; policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL#160; DUTIES:*#160; Applies#160; the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and#160; discharge needs of patient/family/significant other.*#160; Applies#160; the Core Concepts of Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) in practice, and#160; uses this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family.*#160; Partners#160; with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care.*#160; Provides#160; quality care that meets or exceeds the expectations of value (core measures,#160; quality matrix, patient experience, fiscally responsible).*#160; Recognizes#160; the roles of the interdisciplinary team, patient and family care partners and#160; utilizes them appropriately as resources in planning patient care.*#160; Delegates#160; appropriate tasks.*#160; Demonstrates#160; knowledge of and competently performs technical procedures and uses equipment#160; properly.*#160; Documents#160; in the patient record in a timely, accurate and concise manner.#160; Develops#160; teaching strategies for patient/family; documents education and learning#160; appropriately in health record.*#160; Demonstrates#160; leadership in the professional practice setting and is responsible for#160; continuing personal education, mentoring peers and educating patients and#160; families.*#160; Stays#160; up to date with current health system initiatives and incorporates evidence#160; based practice and research into practice. Maintains current knowledge in area#160; of clinical practice.*#160; Participates#160; in department based activities, staff meetings and committees.*#160; Demonstrates#160; knowledge, understanding and embraces cultural traditions and lore of community#160; served.STANDARD#160; QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduate of an accredited school#160; of nursing. Diploma, A.D.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN#160; prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required#160; to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within specified#160; timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations. RN must enroll in an accredited#160; BSN program within one (1) year of hire date and complete within the next three#160; (3) years.#160; This is effective September 1, 2017.#160; Specialty Certification highly recommended after 2 years in specialty.Certification, Licensure, Registration: RN with active#160; license in State of MichiganOther Qualifications: Current American Heart#160; Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification and other certifications#160; as required by department.#160; * Critical Care: ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer#160; * Emergency Care: ACLS within 6 months of h
