Job Purpose:

The Sr. Manager Program Governance of Risk Technology will support the Program Office to ensure strategic implementations (Canada and International Banking) progress and deliver according to plan and within bank standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support and enforce program governance framework including minimum documentation standards required and execution methodology practice. Provide the appropriate program wide documentation including dashboards, risk logs and financial trackers.

  • Closely collaborate with IT, Risk Technology and Risk Engines SME’s, to ensure alignment and communication to support strategic objectives and vendor relationship are in place.

  • Establish a robust process to identify and document the program/project issues and opportunities to feed the Risk Technology Global Knowledge Database (Best Practices).

  • Strengthen financial and benefit realization structure with standard KPI’s and methodologies across program initiatives. Closely interact with business, risk and finance teams (locally and in Toronto) to monitor and report initiatives performance as required.

  • Support a close collaboration with supporting units (Finance, Legal, Procurement, Privacy, Security) covering for enterprise requirements to ensure the risk technology program success

Functional Competencies:

  • Knowledge of program and project plan development & management, scheduling methodology, waterfall and iterative methodologies, program and project metrics, analysis and status reporting.

  • Knowledge of relevant technology, standards, methodologies and audit requirements; familiarity with FICO tools (OMDM and TRIAD) is an asset.

  • Strong orientation to financial performance and scorecard development/monitoring.

  • Advanced communication skills with ability to partner at different levels and influence without direct supervision

Education/Work Experience:

  • 5+ years in Financial Industry, managing large complex projects that have significant IT and operational components

  • Degree in Business or Computer Sciences

  • PMP and/or PgMP certification (preferred)

  • Financial Background (preferred)

  • Sound knowledge of retail banking and/or risk management practices

  • Spanish an asset
