The purpose of this job is to build and support technology applications to support Capital Markets - Commodities business.
Participate in the development and support of cost effective and efficient applications or prototypes of low to medium complexity according to standards to meet the demands of the high availability, complex, on-line transaction processing environment.
This involves participating in the system design, developing the required programs, performing unit testing and participating in the integrated system tests.
Provide support to assigned applications by identifying, evaluating and resolving problems of low to medium complexity and escalating to management as per documented procedures.
The incumbent is required to carry a pager to provide timely user support.
Participate in the implementation of new systems or enhancements by running required conversion programs, performing shakedown testing of the production environments, coordinate Release management, incident management.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Trade Repositories and Technology to ensure teams leverage best practices and develop processes to ensure Operations is in alignment.
Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies and maintain a strategic understanding of the market trends.
- 4+ years as a Business Systems Analyst is a must have
Capital Markets (and /or) Murex knowledge
SQL (Databases: Oracle/Sybase)
XML / XSLT / JSON
UNIX Shell Scripting is highly desired
Exposure to production support environment - highly desirable
JIRA / Confluence knowledge is an asset
Exposure to DevOps, Agile is an asset
Knowledge of Job Schedulers Sysadmiral /AutoSys - is an asset
Eager to learn and make recommendation and take a consultative approach
Possess excellent communication skills
Excellent problem solving, organizational & analytical skills
Takes responsibility and work independently and let be able to guide and support the junior
Bachelor's in Business Administration (or) Engineering disciplines
CCBA or CBAP certifications are preferred
CSC or CFA certifications preferred
