Employment Details:

Position Start Date: Jan 14th, 2019

Position Status: permanent part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Shifts After Training: Flexible hours during weekdaysbetween 8am-8pm at 40 King Street West, Saturday OR Sunday between 8am- 6pm at 2201 Eglinton Avenue East

Location: 40 King Street West, Toronto AND 2201 Eglinton Avenue East, Scarborough

As a Customer Service Representative, eCARE:

You are the primary point of contact for customers, making you an important ambassador for Scotia iTRADE. Our advanced training program, in combination with your prior skills and experiences, arm you with the ability to provide prompt, accurate, and professional service adhering with iTRADE’s high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will also be a proactive promoter of iTRADE’s client-focused culture by providing high quality customer service.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Resolving client email and chat inquiries timely and effectively

  • Using discretion and problem solving skills to satisfy the requirements of the customer’s request

  • Contributing to ideal centre functionality by adhering to goals, policies, and procedures

  • Utilizing key mind for sales to recognize and initiate opportunities for cross-selling and referrals

  • Facilitating a culture of communication, participation, and collaboration by being an actively positive member of your team

To Be Successful in This Role, You:

  • Will have completed Post-Secondary Education in Commerce, Business, or Financial Planning

  • Will have 2-4 years of industry experience, including 1 year of sales experience as well as previous discount brokerage experience

  • Have a high-degree of knowledge regarding procedures surrounding securities settlement

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, including the ability to recognize risk to the firm

  • Are comfortable working in an independent environment, including setting and achieving your own goals

  • Are motivated to utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills both with customers and other Scotia iTRADE employees

  • Have a positive attitude and excitement regarding learning new tasks and skills in order to keep up with changing environments or duties

  • Have the ability to utilize time-management and prioritization skills in order to ensure optimum telephone coverage

  • May have previously completed a CSC course
