Summary:

The Media Operations team develops solutions for media companies on Facebook and Instagram by creating scaled systems to address the issues impacting their experiences with the suite of Facebook & Instagram products. Our Music Partner Operations team is committed to providing support for music content partners inclusive of the specific needs of the industry.

We are seeking a Technical Account Manager to manage technical operations and global product support functions for record labels, music publishers and collective rights societies. The successful candidate will have extensive operational experience with labels, publishers and rights societies including catalog ingestion, data reconciliation, and development of supporting systems. You will also be data driven and flexible to frequent changes. You are expected to think creatively about ambiguous issues and are passionate about problem-solving. You will also be able to work successfully across teams and regions.

Required Skills:

  1. Design and scale operations support workflows for music partners around product use, product insights, and issue resolution

  2. Partner closely with cross-functional teams – including partnerships, operations, legal, product, and engineering teams

  3. Develop a deep expertise in Facebook and Instagram's music rights management products and how they are being used across constituent groups and act as an ambassador and support

  4. Develop and maintain processes around metadata delivery and integrity

  5. Interface with RM product team for development of internal and external functionality to support label needs

  6. Technical account management downstream of partner engineering

  7. Operational support and label advocate for development of rights management products and tools

  8. Communication with partners with regard to onboarding specifications and processes, including general documentation

  9. Label advocate for contractual rights based decisions and actions

  10. Represent Facebook and Instagram with standards setting boards, governance organizations and other relevant external committees

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS degree (or equivalent)

  2. 4+ years of experience in music account management, product management, online operations, consulting, or analytics

  3. 1+ years of experience using SQL

  4. Communications skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, both internally and externally

  5. Experience with DDEX and metadata standards

  6. Analytical background and ability to manage results to metrics

  7. Knowledge of music industry licensing and operations

  8. Understand sensitivities around IP policy, processes, and products

  9. Fluency in Japanese

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of digital rights management products, especially for music

  2. Experience in royalties and reporting for record labels and/or music publishers

  3. Experience working with global teams

  4. Music label experience
