The Red Hat University (RHU) team is looking for a Sales Learning and Development Instructor to join our Global Learning Delivery team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for the facilitation of our sales and leadership programs. You’ll help build regional and local capabilities with a focus on developing sustained behavior change that improves performance of Red Hat’s managers and associates.
Primary job responsibilities
Deliver in-person and virtual instructor-led training offerings to diverse audiences including managers, account executives, inside sales representatives, solutions architects, and technical account managers
Facilitate learning via classroom instruction and virtual and blended learning; incorporate a variety of presentation methods and applications to accommodate adult learning styles
Train associates using both off-the-shelf and custom content
Manage classroom environment and adapt instructional style for different audiences
Make recommendations to managers regarding overall participant learning experience including follow-up study materials
Ensure that class content is delivered as designed and make specific recommendations to portfolio managers to improve the global content and design
Support team initiatives and identify ways to enhance learning effectiveness
Contribute to the overall success of the Red Hat University (RHU) team by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process
5+ years of IT or tech industry experience
Sales and sales management experience
Experience developing managerial leadership and coaching skills
Fluent language skills in Japanese and English; excellent written and verbal communication skills
3+ years of experience in training; technical or sales training within a global IT or software company is a plus
Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and listening skills
Demonstrated initiative and positive attitude; team-oriented, motivated, and highly enthusiastic
Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, thrive in ambiguity, and adapt to a changing business environment
Familiarity with the sales strategy and objectives of Red Hat locally in the region and worldwide
Deep understanding of Red Hat’s solutions portfolio, sales messaging, and sales
methodologies inside Red Hat, or the ability to rapidly develop this knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization
Willingness to travel up to 50-75%
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline like information and communication technologies (ICT), adult education, communications, or human resources; master's degree is a plus
