Company Profile Company Name: Advanced Sensors Mexico, a subsidiary of Esterline Technologies Corporation Industry: Aerospace/Defense Products & Services Number of Employees: 250 Job Overview Title: *Machine Operator A *Job Family: *Production *Reports to: Production Manager Works with: Production staff, Manufacturing Engineers, Warehouse, Planners, Maintenance, etc. Location: Tijuana, BC Mexico Type: Full-Time Job Summary Under the direction of the Site Supervisor or lead, the Machine Operator A is responsible to performing and operate devices, Assemblies, manufacture products efficiently, on-time, to the right quality following the manufacturing documentation on daily duties. Primary Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts Following the instructions on operations documents (Pitch sheet, SOP, MJI, gamma, FP, FI, etc).

  • Inspect that all the material that produce meet all the quality requirements and the manufacturing documents requirements.

  • Maintain the traceability of the material in every stage of the process.

  • Track all the information required on the traveller sheets (POC, OF) to maintain traceability in every stage of the process as part numbers, lot numbers, dates, document revision, stamps, quantities.

  • Generate additional documentation with all the specified requirement

  • Operate different types of machines (Welder equipment, TIG o MIG, Brazing equipment, Test Equipment).

  • Maintain the working area in a clean and safety environment.

  • Follow all the specified on the internal work rules.

  • Do not perform any special operation without the release of the specific training.

  • Follow all the safety instructions all over the plant. Qualifications

  • Arithmetical skills

  • Vision Test approval

  • TWI or equivalent (required for trainers)

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Junior High School Diploma

Essential

  • At least 18 months working on Esterline Advance Sensor Mexico as machine operator B, with a good record on discipline, quality, and commitment (could be a rare exceptions only with the approval of plant manager).

Desirable

  • Basic Kanban systems knowledge

  • Experience working in clean environments

  • Experience working under microscope

  • Welding experience (TIG, MIG, Brazing, etc).

Training requirements

  • Hourly EE: Base on training matrix on one or more of the following

  • Release at least on 50% of the modules from the RTD’s program

  • Release at least on three Swaging equipment

  • Release as welding operator certified on IPC J-std-001.

  • Release as Plasma & TIG welding operations

  • Certified on AWS standard preferred

  • TWI or equivalent (required for trainers) Esterline Competencies
