The University of Texas School of Public Health at Houston, a leading academic health center - School of Public Health (UTSPH) invites applications to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor level on the UTSPH Houston Campus located in the Texas Medical Center. Multiple positions are available and affiliated with the Department of Biostatistics and in Data Science at UTSPH. These positions will be tenure-track and open rank faculty positions with positions for biostatistics faculty.

Position Key Accountabilities:

We are seeking applicants with demonstrated methodological research and collaborative experience to enhance our research portfolio of existing areas and expand to the new areas, including (but not limited to) causal inference, clinical trial coordination, functional data analysis, qualitative data analysis, or statistical approaches/algorithms for novel and complex data types such as streaming data, imaging, audio, video, text or other unstructured data. Strong candidates will also have exceptional collaborative and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research, as exemplified by extramural grant support. In addition candidates will be responsible for teaching and advising graduate students, maintaining collaborative and methodological research, and providing departmental and university services across the six campuses in our institution.Candidates will be responsible for teaching and advising graduate students, maintaining collaborative and/or methodological extramural grant support, and provide departmental and university service across the six campuses in our institution.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a PhD or its professional equivalent in data science, computer science, statistics, biostatistics, engineering, computational mathematics or other related disciplines. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of outstanding research work, excellent teaching performance and recognized leadership in the biostatistics field.
